Girls League Rules
Junior Varsity Game: 3rd - 4th Grade played on 9 ft goal.
JV games will consist of 4 total quarters with the first 2 quarters consisting of a 5 - minute running clock. The 3rd & 4th quarters will be played with a 5 - minute clock stopping just like in an official basketball game. In all quarters the game clock will stop during timeouts, free throws, injuries and if officials signal the clock to be stopped.
- The games will start at 6:00 p.m.
- Each team will have 5 - timeouts that are full timeouts (60 Seconds) you are only allowed to use 3 timeouts in a half
- 5 - minute halftime
- One - 2 minute overtime will be played at the end of regulation if still tied the game will end in a tie.
- Free throws can be shot from the established 14-foot distance.
- Man to Man Defense required (NO ZONE DEFENSE)
- Help defense is allowed but not double team Official will award each team a warning if double team occurs for first offense, second offense will result in one free throw and ball out of bounds under the basket after free throw attempt.
- Double Team is allowed when the ball is in the lane.
- No Full Court Press
- Substitutions will be made just like an official basketball game. Player’s check - in and wait for a dead ball to be motioned in by official.
- Start the game and each quarter by lining/matching girls up so that they can start out the game and or quarter knowing who they will guard.
- Jersey Top must be tucked into Jersey Shorts and Jersey shorts cannot be rolled or tucked.
Varsity Game: 5th & 6th Grade played on 10ft goal.
Varsity games will consist of 4 quarters with a 6 - minute clock. The clock will run like an official basketball game. 3rd and 4th graders are allowed to play in the varsity game at the coach's discretion or if you don't have enough 5th or 6th graders to play the game. You must play 5th and 6th grade and then substitute 3rd and 4th grade into game.
- Games will follow JV game, start time approx. 7:00 PM
- Each team will have 2 - timeouts per half that are full timeouts (60 Seconds) with a media timeout with 2 minutes to go in the 4th quarter.
- 5 - minute halftime
- Overtime is 2:00 minutes long. Overtime will be played until winner.
- 2/3 Zone can only be played during the 2nd half.
- Teams will be allowed to play full court in first half on defense rebounds.
- Full Court Press is allowed the second half of the games (No Full Court Press when leading by 10 pts or more.)

- Double Team is allowed when the ball is in the lane.
- Substitutions will be made like in an official basketball game. Player’s check-in and wait for dead ball to be signaled in by the official.
- Jersey Top must be tucked into Jersey Shorts and Jersey shorts cannot be rolled or tucked.
Actions that will not be tolerated by players or coaches.
- Foul Language or gestures
- Arguing call with officials
- Unsportsmanlike conduct
These actions will result in a technical foul and after a second technical foul you will be removed from the game.
